Adidas Originals continues its playful partnership with The Simpsons, debuting the Forum Low “Kang & Kodos” from the Treehouse of Horror series.
The spooky-inspired rework dresses the retro basketball silhouette in bold “Lime Burst”, “Green” and “Semi Court Green” hues. The design is inspired by the alien duo Kang and Kodos, with darker shades grounding the midsole and Three Stripes, while lighter panels create contrast. Notably, an oversized alien eye graphic can be found printed on the tongue for a more dramatic, cartoonish flair.
Packaging for the sneaker also follows suit with slime-green tones, illustrations of tentacles and branding that directly pays homage to the Treehouse of Horror. It’s an attention to detail that further elevates the story-telling and makes the release feel like a true collectors item.
The Simpsons and adidas have a history of sneaker releases that celebrate the cartoon’s unique brand of style and humor. From “Squishie”-inspired Superstars to Ned Flanders’ slippers inspired McCarten, the latest Forum Low leans into the darker side of the series while remaining true to the playful feel fans know and love.
