The Air Jordan XX3 Jordan Brand Classic PE has resurfaced, giving sneaker fans a rare look at one of Jordan Brand’s most elusive player exclusives. The sneaker was originally designed for the 2023 Jordan Brand Classic and features a stark departure from the Jordan Brand’s original 2008 release.
Long Island-based sneaker showroom LISCO recently listed the exclusive on eBay, where it was snatched up by a collector for an undisclosed price. For a bit of background, the Air Jordan XX3 is one of the most special shoes in the line, being both the 23rd signature sneaker in the series and the sneaker that featured both Michael Jordan’s signature and thumbprints as part of the shoe’s DNA-driven upper from Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith.
The Jordan Brand Classic PE of the Air Jordan XX3 replaces the original stitch pattern with sun ray-inspired embroidery over a black suede base. Meanwhile, the multicolor midsole features a unique fade from red to blue, purple, and gold, all the way down to what resembles a “Galaxy” fade in the sneaker’s sole. Patent leather elements on the toe and tongue break up the shine, while the light purple Jordan Brand Classic logo on the tongue serves as an ode to the game.
It is unknown how many pairs were produced and/or if they were given to athletes during the 2023 Jordan Brand Classic. What we do know is that this is the first confirmed PE to surface on the resale market, which only makes it more rare and desirable.
