Wei Koh Appointed President Of GPHG Jury For The 2026 Edition

Editor’s pick — Accessory quick take: key highlight (movement/specs for watches, materials/finish, limited run, pricing tier) in 1–2 lines.

Wei Koh is a man of many talents—publisher, entrepreneur, journalist, and filmmaker—and now he can add one more title to the list: President of the GPHG Jury. The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), widely considered the most prestigious awards ceremony in watchmaking, has named Koh to lead its jury for the 2026 edition, set to take place on November 7 in Geneva.

Founder of Revolution and The Rake, Koh is one of the most recognizable and popular voices in the industry. In his statement, Koh emphasized both the personal significance of the appointment and his commitment to championing what he calls “true, authentic horology,” while also hinting at ambitions to expand the GPHG’s global reach.

He succeeds Nick Foulkes, who served as Jury President from 2021 through 2025. Foulkes called Koh “inimitable,” noting his “unique vision, immense energy and boundless enthusiasm” as key qualities for the role. Koh steps into the position as the GPHG continues to position itself as a global benchmark, with a hybrid voting system that combines in-person jury deliberation with input from a roughly 1,000-member academy.

We had Koh on Talking Watches a few years ago, and late last year, he premiered Man of the Hour, an episodic series that takes viewers inside the workshops, homes, and imaginations of some of the most compelling figures in independent watchmaking. How his energy—and his distinct point of view—translates into the GPHG’s evolution remains to be seen, but we look forward to Koh’s tenure as president.
