Dakota Johnson, styled in a strapless Gucci dress, turned the “Splitsville” Los Angeles premiere into a family affair on Tuesday night, posing for photos on the red carpet alongside her mom, actress Melanie Griffith.
For the special occasion, Johnson wore a silver metallic dress courtesy of Gucci. The strapless, floor-length gown featured such design elements as a fitted bodice with slight fabric ruching. A cinched waist gave the dress a defined silhouette.

The skirt of the look featured a column design for a streamlined style. The shiny fabric of the dress included some crinkled elements for a slight textural element. As for her accessories, Johnson opted to coordinate her delicate Roberto Coin pieces with her dress.
The actress wore the Venetian Princess earrings, along with the Cento bangle and Love in Verona rings and bangles, courtesy of the Italian jewelry brand, to which Johnson was recently named a global brand ambassador.

While posing for photos at the “Splitsville” premiere, Johnson was joined by her mother. Melanie Griffith opted for a tailored power suit in a cream tone. The Oscar-nominated “Working Girl” actress accessorized with a few shimmering jewelry pieces.
Johnson’s look for the Los Angeles premiere was curated by stylist Kate Young, who also works with such stars as Julianne Moore and Michelle Williams, among others. Young, who was named Best Stylist at the WWD Style Awards in January, regularly curates looks for Johnson that come courtesy of Gucci; the actress is a brand ambassador for the label.

While Johnson’s served as a Gucci ambassador for several years, the actress was only recently appointed as an ambassador to Roberto Coin. “Dakota Johnson is a true original. I love her expressions — an artist with authenticity, depth, and a unique ability to connect,” founder and creative director Roberto Coin said of the actress upon her May ambassadorship appointment. “We are proud to welcome her to the Roberto Coin family and to collaborate on a campaign that speaks to the heart of who we are.”
“Splitsville” follows Carey (Kyle Marvin) who throws his friends’ Julie (Johnson) and Paul’s (Michael Angelo Covino) open marriage into chaos after Carey’s wife Ashley (Adria Arjona) asks him for a divorce. The film hits theaters Friday.
