What We Know
To close out Vacheron Constantin’s 270th year, the brand is introducing three new additions to the Traditionnelle Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin lineup. These are 36.5mm QPs—small, slim, and very much in keeping with the momentum of an anniversary year packed with notable releases across a wide range of categories. Vacheron has pushed throughout 2025 with an impressive array of releases, but with the introduction of this trio, the question must be asked: could they have saved the best for last?

Jumping into the details, the case is 36.5mm × 8.43mm across all three references. Two models—one in 18K 5N pink gold and one in 18K white gold—are the first non–gem-set Traditionnelle watches to use this size, while a third white-gold model adds a diamond-set bezel, lugs, and crown. Each watch comes with a silver-toned opaline dial, a transparent sapphire caseback, and 30 meters of water resistance. On the non–gem-set pieces, the markers and hands are 18K 5N pink gold; on the gem-set version, they match the white-gold case. All models carry the 270th-anniversary emblem signifying production in 2025.

The calendar display follows the classic Traditionnelle layout: month at 12 o’clock, date at 3, day at 9, and a combined moon-phase and age-of-moon display at 6—no correction required until, you guessed it, the year 2100. Inside is the calibre 1120 QP, developed and crafted in-house. It’s a self-winding movement measuring 4.05mm thick, running at 2.75 Hz with 276 components and a 40-hour power reserve. The rotor is open-worked in the shape of the Maltese cross, and all three references are Hallmark of Geneva certified.

All three watches come on alligator straps: dark blue for the pink-gold model, light brown for the white-gold model, and dark blue for the gem-set reference. The retail price is $100,000 USD for non-gem-set models and $102,000 USD for gem-set models, with availability starting today.
What We Think
Vacheron’s 270th year has been quite the journey—from the Solaria (the most complicated wristwatch ever), to La Quête du Temps, to the relaunch of the 222 in steel (I could keep going…)—and even as the year winds down, this release makes a strong case that they may have saved the best for last. I had the opportunity to see this watch in person a couple of weeks ago, and I was genuinely blown away. A QP that wears this naturally on the wrist at 36.5mm feels like a rare achievement, and it quickly catapulted into my favorite releases of the year.
QPs, by nature, need space—there’s a lot of information to display, which naturally increases the case size. Here, the reduced dimensions don’t compromise anything. The proportions feel intentional, the typography thoughtful, and the dial never feels crowded.

Choosing between pink gold and white gold is the real dilemma for me. I’m slightly drawn to the pink gold—the uniformity of the pink-gold bezel with the pink-gold indices just works. My lone nitpick? On the non–gem-set white-gold version, why stick with pink-gold markers and hands instead of matching white gold as they have done on the gem-set model? It’s clearly a deliberate design choice, but I can’t help wondering how a fully white-gold execution might look because it would probably be my favorite. Still, with the calibre, the size, and the overall execution, this is a fantastic release and a fitting way to close out a milestone year for Vacheron.
