Editor’s pick — Accessory quick take: key highlight (movement/specs for watches, materials/finish, limited run, pricing tier) in 1–2 lines.
What We Know
The Heritage Collection is Grand Seiko’s core lineup—where a lot of the brand’s foundational designs live, including the 62GS. Originally introduced in 1967 as the brand’s first automatic watch, it’s defined by its bezel-less construction and sharp case geometry, which still hold up today. This SBGH376 sticks with that formula, but changes the metal. For the first time in a continuously produced 62GS, the case is done in 18k yellow gold.

The dial pulls from sakura-wakaba—that moment right after peak cherry blossom, when the petals start to fall, and the first green leaves come through. Instead of going pink, it’s a light green with a slight yellow tone, meant to shift depending on the light. The case measures 38mm across and 12.9mm thick, with a lug-to-lug of 44.7mm. It keeps the 62GS construction, meaning no bezel—the crystal sits directly on the case, helping keep things visually slim and letting more light hit the dial.

Inside is the automatic Caliber 9S85, running at 36,000 vph with about 55 hours of power reserve and rated to +5/-3 seconds per day.

The Grand Seiko SBGH376 comes on a brown crocodile strap, it’s available now at a price is $32,800.
What We Think
As I was going through the photos and specs, I realized this watch is right in my strike zone. Size, color, strap—check, check, check. It’s a really clean execution, and pairing that with a yellow gold case just works. Then I got to the price—$32,800—which feels a bit high and puts it in a competitive range. That said, it’s a very clean, elegant watch, and it’s nice to see the brand bring yellow gold into the main collection. It’s certainly one of my favorite Grand Seiko releases in recent memory.
