Editor’s pick — Accessory quick take: key highlight (movement/specs for watches, materials/finish, limited run, pricing tier) in 1–2 lines.
What We Know
For Watches and Wonders 2026 and on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, Tudor is bringing the Monarch model back to the lineup. It’s a complete redesign that gives a more dressy and contemporary option with a sharp, angled steel case shape and bracelet and a surprising blend of Roman and Arabic numerals on the textured dial. With a METAS-certified chronometer movement, it might just be the most surprising and compelling new offering from the Rolex sister brand’s new releases so far this year.

The new Monarch is 39mm in diameter and 11.9mm thick with a 46.2mm lug-to-lug measurement that suggests a very wearable design for a wide range of wrist sizes. The case is a bold take on the faceted angles of the classic integrated sports watch. The Monarch leans in here with dramatic, sharp, angled cuts to the case sides.
The dial is champagne colored in a hue and texture that Tudor says is meant to evoke papyrus. The applied hour markers are a melange of Roman and Arabic numerals, often called a ‘California’ dial, that aids in time telling. A small seconds is running at 6 o’clock. The hour and minute hands give a nod to Tudor’s signature snowflake handset feature on both hands.

Adding to the robustness of the new Monarch is the manufacture caliber MT5662-2U that’s both COSC and METAS certified. Visible through an open caseback, it gives an accuracy range of seconds (0/+5) per day and an anti-magnetic certification, making it impervious to magnetic fields below 15,000 gauss. Featuring a power reserve of 65 hours, also certified by METAs, the movement Chronometer Certification makes the elevated Monarch upscale and durable.

What’s also new and compelling is the 2-link steel bracelet that carries on the faceted feature of the case with brushed and polished, sharply angled center links. The new bracelet features Tudor’s T-fit system for on-the-wrist adjustment. The new Tudor Monarch is priced at $5,875.
What We Think
With its upscale style and wearability, Monarch is a model that once played a significant role in Tudor’s past, particularly in the 1990s and early 2000s. The Monarch faded to the background when the brand relaunched in the U.S. and U.K. in 2012 and soon introduced the robust Black Bay line that has become the flagship for the brand.

Now the new Monarch, with sharp angles and a surprising and quirky California dial, is giving Tudor customers an elevated design that retains the robustness associated with the brand. While it’s priced in the higher end of the Tudor model range, the Monarch is likely to become a compelling option for those looking for a contemporary integrated bracelet sports watch. It most definitely stands out.
